Adding your Organization to the Organizational Caucus
The organization applying for a Student Senate seat must be recognized by Ball State University and Ball State University must employ organization's advisor.

Organizations wanting to obtain a seat must:
• Fill out and turn in the Organizational Senate Seat Application
• Fill out and turn in Signatures (500-Orgs)
• Be interviewed by Credentials Board
• Be recommended for approval by Credentials Board
• Approval shall take place upon 2/3 vote of the Student Senate.

Organizations seeking to regain a seat after the seat has been lost may do so within two (2) semesters of losing the seat and under the following conditions:
• Obtain two (2) letters of recommendation from the organization's faculty advisor and from an administrator of Ball State University
• Submit a letter to the Credentials Board Chair and to the President of Senate including, but not limited to the explanation of the following things.
• Why the Organization lost its seat.
• The argument as to why the organization should be let back onto the Senate floor.
• Contributions the organization could offer to Senate.
• If there would be any future problems with retaining a seat in Senate.
• Be interviewed separately by both the Credentials Board and an interview board made up of the President of the Student Government Association, the President of the Senate and the President Pro-Tempore of Senate.
• Approval shall take place upon a 2/3 vote of the Student Senate.

Organizations that have lost their seat three (3) times within five years may reapply if the application process outlined above is completed, and a meeting with the Student Government Association Advisor takes place.
