SGA:LIVE is now SGA:ON DEMAND
Posted by Jeffrey Higgens
SGA:LIVE was launched on September 23, 2009. An innovative feature, the service allowed students to tune into the Student Government senate meetings online and chat with other viewers in real-time. The live stream was unprecedented for the Student Government Association and the feedback was positive.
At SGA's senate meeting on December 9, Higgens announced that videos would be available to view online, archived, via video hosting provider YouTube so that reports can be easily viewed and shared with the Ball State community, a feature that was lacking in the archived versions of the SGA:LIVE broadcasts.
Today, it was decided that SGA:LIVE would cease broadcast. To replace it, an on-demand video service using the YouTube channel to host reports in senate, as well as any other videos the Cardinal Impact Administration chooses to post for the Ball State community. We believe this is the best move in utilizing our technology resources at this time. Videos will be presented in a high-quality, widescreen format.
